Heroes: Kozaki Yusuke Challenge – New Special Maps & Quests

A new challenge awaits you in Fire Emblem Heroes! Starting today, a new series of special maps is available for all players. What makes these maps particularly interesting is that the enemies you fight against are based on the heroes owned by Fire Emblem illustrator Kozaki Yusuke!

There are a total of five different maps, each with two difficulty modes. Each map features four heroes based on Kozaki’s own player data. The data was taken before Skill Inheritance was implemented, and only base levels are used. Hard Mode enemies received a flat boost to their stats to increase the difficulty.

Kozaki Yusuke is the official artist for both Awakening and Fates. He also drew the in-game art for all of the Heroes original characters. He has previously tweeted pulls and builds of various Heroes characters, so the fact that he has been playing the game has been known for some time.

Completing each map on each difficulty level earns you an Orb a piece, for a total of ten Orbs! A new series of Quests also awards two additional Orbs along with some Shards and Crystals.

The deadline for the new maps and quests is 8 June at 7:59am UTC.

Heroes: Defensive Battles Maps & Quests + New Arena is Live!

A new series of special maps is now available in Fire Emblem Heroes! Five Defensive Battle maps can now be challenged in the “Special Maps” section. Each map is available on two difficulty levels and requires you to defend for a number of turns, or until all reinforcements have been killed, to win. Each win nets you an Orb for a total of up to ten Orbs!

Additionally, a new series of Quests for the special maps is also available. Titled “Defensive Battles”, the quests require you to beat each of the maps under certain conditions. You can earn Shards, Crystals, and even a couple more Orbs for completing these quests.

The deadline for beating the maps and completing the quests is 25 May at 7:59am UTC.

The new Arena rewards system also goes live today! The “Check Rewards” screen has been updated to show the new Tier rewards. This screen shows your current tier and the rewards you can aim for this season. Fight your best to earn up some Orbs and Feathers!

Still not enough? Starting tomorrow, the Ursula Grand Hero Battle is making a comeback! Like previous repeats, there will be special Quests so even those who beat both maps are encouraged to try again. Most likely these Quests will offer additional copies of Ursula.

Heroes: Old Grand Hero Battles Return + New Special Missions!

@FE_Heroes_JP tweeted out an interesting announcement earlier today, leading to some speculation among Fire Emblem Heroes players…

As translated by VincentASM, the tweet fully states the following:

[Notice] From Monday 24th April at 16:00, the Grand Hero Battles “Robin – Mystery Tactician” and “Navarre – Scarlet Sword” make a reappearance! At the same time, there will be timed special missions where you can befriend Grand Hero(es)! Please try to challenge the Grand Hero Battles even if you’ve already cleared them previously.

The first part of the tweet is pretty straightforward: Grand Hero Battles for both Female Robin and Navarre will be available once again! If you missed getting one or both versions of these heroes, now is a great time to snag them up.

The second part of the tweet is where things get interesting. “Timed special missions” definitely implies that there will be some new content with this update. The last sentence also implies that these missions will be connected to the reappearing Grand Hero Battles in some way. However, no further details are as yet available.

Regardless, we won’t have to wait all too long for the mystery to be revealed. The update will go live during the very next game update at 7:59am UTC tomorrow!

Heroes: 1st Grand Hero Battle Coming 2/10!

As announced on both @FE_Heroes_JP and the in-game Fire Emblem Heroes notifications screen, a new event will be starting this Friday!

The Grand Hero Battle starts on February 10th and runs through the 14th. As shown in the silhouette, we will likely be able to recruit Narcian from Binding Blade during this event.

The Japanese Tweet states that he will have a 3★ rating, so this will be the first chance you have to gain a 3★ hero without paying orbs.

Update: As suspected, the character obtained from the first Grand Hero Battle is indeed Narcian.

Compared to regular Hero Battles, Grand Hero Battles are extremely challenging. The Normal map (which awards 2★ Narcian) has a recommended Level of 25, while the Hard variant (which awards 3★ Narcian) suggests 35.

Like other Hero Battles, if any of your allies fall, you will get a Game Over. On top of this, you cannot continue a failed battle by using a Light’s Blessing or an Orb.
