Warriors: Famitsu Reveals Cordelia and female Robin, teases Casual/Classic

Famitsu’s official website has shared a tiny Fire Emblem Warriors-related snippet from its next issue, which arrives on Japanese bookshelves on 3rd August.

We learn that Cordelia, the exceptionally skilled yet humble Ylissean Pegasus Knight, and the female version of Robin the Tactician will be joining the previously-announced Awakening warriors on the battlefield.

The accompanying text also states that the magazine will be delving into key gameplay mechanics such as effective damage, the weapon triangle, as as well as Classic and Casual (modes, presumably).

In Classic, fallen characters cannot be re-deployed, mimicking permanent death in the main series games, while this restriction is removed in Casual. Earlier, the developers had teased permanent death, so it’ll be interesting to see how it works here.

More FE Warriors Gameplay from San Diego Comic Con

It’s time once again for some more Fire Emblem Warriors analysis! GameXplain brought this to us from the San Diego Comic Con.

We got to see a bit of Lucina, Robin & Lissa along with some more Corrin gameplay.

Lucina seems to emulate her father’s style (like in Awakening), but with her own twists, such as quick thrusts which look to be a C1 attack (C refers to charge or strong attack and the number is where its used in your button combo, so C1 would be just doing a charge/strong move without any normals before it).

With it she can quickly change her direction and shift her positioning in a pinch, which will likely be a nice trick for speedrunners down the line.

Lucina is also voiced by Alexis Tipton like in Fire Emblem Heroes. She has done other roles such as Kid Trunks in the current Funimation dubs of anything Dragon Ball related, and Pascal in Nier: Automata.

Warriors: New Awakening-themed Trailer

As promised by the official Twitter account, a new trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors has been revealed this week–one that focuses on characters from Awakening.

If you recall, Nintendo/Koei Tecmo accidentally let slip two (or three) new playable characters from Awakening, so the surprise has been slightly ruined. That said, there is one more character revealed who’s not from the aforementioned slip up.

Warning: There are some story spoilers for Awakening.
