Fire Emblem Cipher TCG Rules and Press Photos

Tuesday’s “Fire Emblem Cipher” TCG event was more than just a presentation; members of the Japanese gaming press were invited to try out the card game ahead of its June release.

Fire Emblem Cipher Livestream

To promote the upcoming “Fire Emblem Cipher” trading card game (TCG), Nintendo and Intelligent Systems held a livestream event today, from 14:00 to 15:00 PM (Japan time).

For those who missed it, the livestream has been archived here (Nicovideo account required). You can also find pictures from the event on Dengeki online or our forums.

The main agenda of the livestream was to build hype and explain the rules of the TCG, which releases on 25th June 2015, the same day as the latest game in the series, Fire Emblem if.

Of course, Nintendo knows many fans are excited about the new game, so they made sure to sprinkle some new details here and there.

Dark Dragon and Sword of Light Manga Translation Complete

Thanks to the hard work of Crazy Foxie, CalculusWhiz and the rest of the team, the Dark Dragon and Sword of Light manga by Maki Hakoda is now fully readable in English.

This particular manga–as the title suggests–retells the story of the very first Fire Emblem and is a renowned piece of Fire Emblem history.

Fire Emblem TCG “Cipher” Details

The April Nintendo Direct had one more point of interest for Fire Emblem fans, if you were watching the Japanese Direct at least: new details pertaining to the upcoming reboot of the Fire Emblem Trading Card Game.

The new TCG is formally known as “Fire Emblem 0 (Cipher)” and, as previously announced, will be released in Japan during the same day Fire Emblem if launches, which we now know is 25th June 2015.

The initial expansion features characters from the first and last games in the series, Shadow Dragon and Awakening; you can check out various samples at the newly-opened official site and in our TCG gallery.
