Genei Ibun Roku #FE Brings Back Some Familiar Faces

girfe-soundtrackThe latest issue of Weekly Famitsu introduces two new characters set to appear in Nintendo and Atlus upcoming Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei collaboration RPG Genei Ibun Roku #FE.

  • Mamori Minamoto (voiced by Kaori Fukuhara) – A talent and Mirage Master that belongs to the same public entertainment office as the protagonists. She’s an elementary school student that likes Showa era songs and clothing.
  • Barry Goodman (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura) – A once popular musician who’s come to Japan in search of otaku culture. Following his retirement, he works with the protagonists as a trainer.

Also announces are three new Mirages, which you may recognize from the DS generation Fire Emblem Games.

  • Kiria Kurono – Tharja (Fire Emblem Awakening)
  • Eleonora Yumizuru – Virion (Fire Emblem Awakening)
  • Mamori Minamoto – Draug (Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and Blade of Light)

Fire Emblem Fates has Finally Released Anna’s DLC

Yes, despite being elusive to hackers and player alike, Anna has affirmed her role as an Outlaw and escaped from obscurity. If you’re lucky enough, you’ll find her on her map, simply titled Anna the Outlaw. The DLC for her single map will cost 250 Yen.

Project X Zone 2 Adds to Their Roster: Chrom & Lucina

In my previous update, I pointed out that Chrom and Lucina are now in the roster as a paired unit for Project X Zone 2. This is pretty groundbreaking news, as Project X Zone and Project X Zone 2 have only included characters from Bandai Namco Entertainment, Capcom, and Sega. Chrom and Lucina mark the first appearance of another company’s involvement in the series, and a big one at that, being as that company is Nintendo. Let’s take a closer look at what we have learned.

Fire Emblem Fates DLC Wave 2, and More!

It looks like Cipher has distracted me from some other exciting news, as Fire Emblem Fates has announced their second wave of DLC! This set will feature five new maps, and the addition of some rewards offering up to three new classes to customize your team with.

And if you thought that was all, it’s not! Chrom and Lucina are making their debut in another game, Project X Zone 2, as announced at Tokyo Game Show 2015. (Click to see their debut announcement video).
