Kyle Hebert Shares his Voice: An Interview

I just joined the team here at Serenes Forest with goals to maintain the front page news, but had hoped to find a few ways to go one step beyond my expectations. With the help of voice actor Kyle Hebert, it looks like I will be able to do just that!

Kyle-Hebert-1

Recently, Kyle Hebert responded to my request for a brief interview, and I was overjoyed at his enthusiasm. For those who aren’t aware, Hebert a very talented and popular voice actor. He is probably most known for his voice work in Dragon Ball Z as the Narrator and as Teen Gohan, but has dozens of other anime and video game roles under his belt. How is he relevant to Serenes Forest? Hebert happens to be the voice actor for both Frederick and Validar in Fire Emblem Awakening.

Nintendo’s New President: Tatsumi Kimishima

Over two months have passed since the passing of one of gaming’s most influential representatives, Satoru Iwata. He left some incredible shoes to fill, but Nintendo seems to have finally found the right man to wear them.

Tatsumi Kimishima, during the early 2000s

Tatsumi Kimishima was announced today to be the successor to Iwata as the President of Nintendo. Kimishima is no stranger to Nintendo, as he previously held Nintendo of America’s position as President (now represented by Reggie Fils-Aime) and acted as Representative Director of the Pokémon Company.

It is not yet known how his presence will impact Nintendo as a whole, but with his strong background in business and finance, as well as his influence with Nintendo since the dawn of the 21st century, he will be put to the test and hopefully able to succeed Iwata as Nintendo’s next great President.

Kimishima officially begins on September 16, 2015.

Fates: Lingering Mysteries

Before I hand over the baton to Elieson, I’d like to present one final article (which I’ve been planning in my heads for ages).

fates-mystery-anna1

Nearly 3 months have passed since Fire Emblem Fates launched in Japan and while we know pretty much everything about the game now, there are plenty of mysteries that evade us still.

First, a bit of background information. Thanks to recent “technological advances”, as soon as Fates came out, it was easily possible to delve into the game’s internal files to retrieve all sorts of information (aka data-mining).

So while most fans were busy playing the actual game, a handful of dedicated data-miners (such as SciresM) were pulling stats, dialogue, music and graphics, often before anyone has played up to that part of the game.

Note: Because of the nature of this topic, there will be unmarked spoilers. Please continue at your own risk!
