Vestaria Saga: A Glimpse at Chapter 8

With half a year remaining until Vestaria Saga‘s anticipated release date, it’s a good thing that Kaga has been cranking out a lot of blog posts lately.

Just yesterday, Kaga posted some interesting concept artwork of the Servant (or Savant) class that Talys belongs to.

Today, he treated us to a broad overview of the beginning of Chapter 8.

You’ve Secured the Newest Fire Emblem, and Want More?

So, you’ve studied all that there is to know for the upcoming Fire Emblem Fates release in the US, and have pioneered the anticipated “waifu wars”. You’ve picked your side, and are fully prepared to fight for what you believe is right. You’ve managed to score your pre-order on the collector’s edition packs, or at least got your hands on the game that you wanted more, possibly due to the hype or maybe just planned to import the Japanese version to play the game early. Well great, you’ve got the game. There is more to Fire Emblem Fates than just the triad of games to beat, and we may as well take a moment to understand all of the different goodies available to the public, as well as how they impact not only the franchise, but other games as well.

Vestaria Saga: Character Stats

After a short break, Shouzou Kaga posted another Vestaria Saga update to his blog, showcasing status screens of 24 characters encountered up to the halfway point of the game.

Anyone who’s played a Fire Emblem game (which should be most of you) ought to find the stat-heavy screens at least vaguely familiar, despite the possible language barrier.

To begin with, the top-left panel features the unit’s portrait, name, class, Level, Experience and HP. In the example above, we have Zeid, the main character of the first game, who’s fittingly of the “Lord” class.

In the panel below, there’s the unit’s inventory along the left, followed by the weapon types that can be equipped in the corner. Right now, Zeid is packing a Lord Asral, Short Sword, Army Sword and Long Sword.

Genei Ibun Roku #FE: More on Unity and Class-Change

This week’s Famitsu included another feature on Genei Ibun Roku #FE, this time explaining the various methods of enhancing your characters.

If you’ve been following the game recently, you may recall that last week’s Japanese Nintendo Direct briefly touched on these methods; fortunately, Famitsu has a lot more space to go into detail.

To start with, players can visit the “Bloom Palace“, a serene area managed by Tiki, the hugely popular face of the “Singaloid Tiki” software.

Conveniently, the entrance to the Bloom Palace is located past an ordinary-looking door within Fortuna Entertainment, where Itsuki and his friends work.
