Answered: Marriage in Fire Emblem Fates

Fire Emblem Fates releases next week in Japan and, although we know a lot of the key details, there is still one burning question in many fans’ minds:

Is marriage–a hugely popular feature in Awakening (and which first appeared in Genealogy of the Holy War)–in this new game too?

Yesterday’s Treehouse Live skirted around this question somewhat, which has done little to ease worrying fans.

However today, we now know the answer to that question.

E3: Fire Emblem Fates at Nintendo Treehouse (Day 2)

A little bit of catching up here…

Yesterday, the Nintendo Treehouse team played a bit more Fire Emblem Fates; more specifically, the first chapter in the Nohr campaign (after choosing your side).

There’s slightly less new information this time round, compared to thir previous playthrough, but plenty of noteworthy details for fans.

Fire Emblem Fates: Famitsu 18th June Details

Over in Japan, the latest digital issue of Famitsu arrived not long ago.

As the final issue before Fire Emblem Fates launches in Japan, this issue includes a bumper-packed 12-page feature on the game.

Before you get too excited, as is often the case with pre-launch features, the majority of the feature repeats information from previous issues.

Because of time restraints and to avoid repetition, I’ll simply note down the new details, of which there aren’t many, to be perfectly honestly.

Fire Emblem Fates: Famitsu Score and Site Updates

Over in Japan, things are ramping up too, as Fire Emblem Fates inches ever closer to its 25th June release date.

To start with, although there wasn’t a Famitsu leak yesterday, we do know (thanks to Hachima) that Fates scored 36 out of 40 (9/9/9/9) in Famitsu.

For reference, this is one of the highest scores in the series, tied with Awakening, the original Mystery of the Emblem and Binding Blade.

Secondly, the game’s official site has received another update–this time, to the Characters section. For details about this, please see below the cut.

Last but not least, Nintendo of Japan has shared an extended version of the TV commercial, featuring two new 30 second commercials, focusing on Hoshido and Nohr.
