Fates: Sakura Nendoroid Revealed at Winter WonFes 2017

At Winter Wonder Festival 2017, held in Japan today, Good Smile Company teased a nendoroid figure of Sakura, the youngest Hoshidan sibling from Fire Emblem Fates.

She will be following in the footsteps of female Corrin and Elise, the former who is receiving a nendoroid figure in August 2017 and the latter whose figure was released back in late 2016.

It’s quite surprising for Sakura to join the gang, since she was the least popular royal in Japan (where the nendoroid is being marketed) based on the official website poll.

That said, she didn’t perform too badly in the recent Choose Your Legends global poll, securing a place in the Top 20 females from throughout the series.

So it wasn’t 100% guaranteed that she would be getting a figure, although of course I’m super glad that she is!

Corrin (F) Figma and Nendoroid Available to Pre-order

Although female Corrin may not be receiving an Amiibo (as far as we know anyway), that doesn’t mean that fans will be unable to own a plastic version of her.

First teased at the Summer Wonder Festival 2016, figma and nendoroid versions of female Corrin are now available to pre-order from good import/hobby sites (such as AmiAmi).

Both of the figures are produced by Good Smile Company, who are renown for creating high-quality products. Which is also evident from the price tag: 6,800 Yen for the figma and 5,200 Yen for the nendoroid.

The figma is to scale and measures 145 mm, while the nendoroid is super-deformed and measures 100 mm. As you can see from the pictures, both can be posed and include a few accessories like a dragonstone.

Speaking of which, if you order the figma directly from GSC, you can get an exclusive Omega Yato accessory.

Camilla Figure Hits the Stage & Lucina amiibo Returns

Figure collectors may already know about Good Smile’s release of anime and video game themed figures and figmas (they sell the super cute Elise Nendoroid, for instance). This week, Good Smile Co. and several other vendors announced pre-orders for a new figure, a gorgeous full-“figured” 1/7 scale Camilla statue manufactured by our good friends at Intelligent Systems Inc.

Pre-orders at Good Smile Co. run at ¥16,800, though you can score a deal if you pre-order from AmiAmi, down to ¥13,820 (both available in September 2017), and for $171.99 from RightStuf (available in October 2017).

If you’re on the hunt for collectibles but find Camilla’s price tag to be a bit steep, be sure to keep a lookout for upcoming for amiibo re-releases, including the hard to find Lucina amiibo, now available at Best Buy for $12.99 but dipping as low as $9.99 on Black Friday (November 25). Ike and Roy can be found at GameStop for $12.99 as well, though Robin remains as the most difficult to find of the Fire Emblem cast, not being spotted on re-release charts anytime soon.

Fates: Camilla Figure at NYCC 2016

First revealed at the Summer WonFes 2016, the 1/7 scale figure of Camilla from FE Fates made a surprise appearance at New York Comic Con 2016.

You can find loads of pictures over at NYGamer and Plastikitty. The biggest thing you’ll notice (except, uh, you know what…) is that the figure is now painted and in colour. Otherwise, there are no new details since last time.

Curiously, Intelligent Systems is still advertised as the figure’s distributor, although it’s unclear if they’re the ones publishing it or if they’re simply waiting to announce a partner (such as Good Smile Company).

Either way, Camilla’s appearance at NYCC is hopefully a sign of an eventual international release. (Although figures are “region-free”, it’d be nice to save on potentially hefty import costs.)
