Heroes: More Archaneans Arrive with Ascended Fjorm!

The trailer for the next batch of New Heroes is here–and there’s a twist. “New Heroes & Ascended Fjorm”, which runs from 18th October 2021 (UTC) will feature characters from Mystery of the Emblem alongside the new Fjorm from the “Ice & Flame 4” Tempest Trials+ event.

Note: You can check out the Japanese version of this trailer here.

The featured Heroes in the banner are: Wolf, Malice, Roshea and Ascended Fjorm. Wolf and Roshea are members of the Wolfguard, an elite squadron created by followers of Hardin. Meanwhile, Malice is a mercenary who debuted in BS Fire Emblem and returned in New Mystery of the Emblem.

As for Fjorm, she’s the first Ascended Hero–a new type of Hero that comes with a new mechanic. Ascended Heroes can be given an Ascended Asset, which is a second Asset, in addition to their default Asset/Flaw. This is effectively a free +3 or +4 to a secondary stat.

Non-Ascended Heroes can also be given an Ascended Asset by using an Ascended Floret item. One Floret will be awarded the first time a unique Ascended Hero is summoned (but no more). Also, one Floret will be awarded the first time you access the “Ascend Traits” menu (so all players will get 1 and lucky players can get 2).

By the way, if you need to change a Hero’s Ascended Asset after the fact, you can do so by using a Trait Fruit. Furthermore, Ascended Assets have no impact of Arena scoring etc.

Besides that, the remaining two members of the Wolfguard will also be available. Sedgar: Coyote’s Dutiful will appear in an upcoming Grand Hero Battle, while Vyland: Coyote’s Justice will be obtainable from special Quests, before being added to the summoning pool from the next Special Heroes banner.

Heroes: Eremiya’s Grand Hero Battle Now Available!

Joining the recently added Heroes in Heroes, Light and Shadow is Eremiya: Bishop of Woe, who can now be challenged in Grand Hero Battles until the daily rollover on 3rd August 2020 (UTC).

For those not familiar, Eremiya is the leader of a group of assassins from New Mystery of the Emblem, serving under Gharnef. She’s probably the last notable villain to be added from the Archanea arc, besides Medeus, the Shadow Dragon.

If you want to know her better, check out her Meet the Heroes page (there are spoilers, but that’s nothing new). Oddly, her images are labelled as “Jeremiah: Hollow Bishop” (Eremiah was her name in the fan translation for a spell). It’s probably just a placeholder though.

Anyway, please keep reading if you want to know her abilities and whatnot.

Heroes: Kris Finally Arrives in “Heroes, Light and Shadow”, Alongside Lena & Julian!

Following the 10th anniversary of New Mystery of the Emblem (has it been that long?!), Fire Emblem Heroes has released a new trailer featuring Heroes from that game (and the original that it’s a remake of).

Titled “Heroes, Light and Shadow” (which is the same as the game’s extra sub-title in Japanese), the featured Heroes are: Kris (male), Julian, Lena and Kris (female). At long last, the secondary protagonist of New Mystery, as well as the very first Avatar character, is here!

As usual, one of these four Heroes will be part of the 4-star focus, although if you thought it’d be Julian because of… obvious reasons, it’s actually Lena! Then again, she has no new skills, we guess. The summoning event will run from 20th July (UTC). In addition, Eremiya: Bishop of Woe will appear in the next scheduled Grand Hero Battle.

For a text breakdown of the new Heroes, please carry onward…

Marth Nendoroid Re-release Coming November 2019

Back in 2016, Good Smile Company released one of their very first Fire Emblem nendoroids–of the original Lord, Marth himself. If you missed your chance, you’re in luck as GSC have announced a re-release!

The nendoroid figure, which is based on Marth’s appearance from New Mystery of the Emblem (his last appearance as a main character), is available to pre-order now and is scheduled to release during November 2019.

For additional info and pictures, please check out the product page on GSC’s website. If that’s still not enough for you, Kahotan from GSC wrote an in-depth review (with lots and lots of pictures) on their blog back in 2016.
