Cipher S9 Weekly Recap: Daily Reveals & Livestream Reminder!

Now that we’re getting closer to the Fire Emblem Cipher Series 9 release, daily reveals are finally starting! @fecipher started the flow of reveals on Monday with these two cards of Alm and Celica from Fire Emblem Echoes.

These particular cards are not actually a part of the booster series, but are instead exclusive to the structured deck. Entitled “Lands of the Gods”, the deck includes 60 cards, all of which feature characters from Echoes. Some cards are exclusive, others are reprints from the booster series. Alm and Celica will be included in both foil and non-foil varieties.

Half of the cards in the S9 booster series is made of red cards devoted to Echoes characters, while the other half is evenly split between green and purple. Among the green cards revealed this week is our first SR for Skrimir from Radiant Dawn. We also get to see Skrimir’s unpromoted card and also a card for Rafiel.

For purple cards this week, we get lovely joined art cards of Roy from Binding Blade and Al from Hasha no Tsurugi. Jemmie also gets to shine in the spotlight as a rare foil card. One of Jemmie’s card effects references having her brother, Zeed, on the field, so we can also expect to see him included in the set.

Kawade announced that Series 9 would feature three main themes, as opposed to most sets that focus on two at most. He also revealed the first part of that theme: Hasha no Tsurugi, the Binding Blade spin-off manga.
