On Thursday, 22 June, Fire Emblem Cipher released its 9th booster series! The set, translated as Roaring Echoes, is our first tri-colour set since S3. An associated Structured Deck called Lands of the Gods was also released on the same date.
The first half of the set, and the entirely of the ST Deck, is dedicated to characters from the newest Fire Emblem entry: Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. The remaining cards are split between characters from Binding Blade and it’s spin-off manga Hasha no Tsurugi, and characters from Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn.
WARNING: Some of the cards pictured in this set contain character and story spoilers for Echoes. If you have not yet finished the game and wish to remain unspoiled, proceed with caution!
This past Saturday, Ryota Kawade and Young hosted a pre-release livestream for Fire Emblem Cipher! Series 9 comes out in just a few days, so it was a perfect opportunity to show off new cards and give fans some tidbits of information about upcoming sets.
The release of S9 coincides with the 2nd Anniversary of Cipher, so everyone was ready to celebrate. The room was decorated, Kawade was dressed up as Eldigan, and they even shared a special cake!
The main focus of the stream was, of course, the upcoming Series 9 which releases on 22 June. The booster series, entitled Roaring Echoes, features cards and characters from Fire Emblem Echoes, Binding Blade, Hasha no Tsurugi, Path of Radiance, and Radiant Dawn. The ST Deck Lands of the Gods focuses solely on characters from Echoes.
WARNING: Some of the card images revealed in this article contain character and story spoilers for Fire Emblem Echoes. Please use caution if you have not yet finished the game and are looking to avoid spoilers.
We’re now less than a week away from the Series 9 release of Fire Emblem Cipher! @FECipher has kept up the excitement with another week of reveals, culminating in our very first signed card: Clair SR+ from Fire Emblem Echoes! The signature on the card is from her Japanese voice actress, Aya Endo. She also gets a matching N card.
Another SR card was also revealed earlier this week, this time featuring Zephiel, the main antagonist of Binding Blade. His N card shows a young Zephiel celebrating happier times with his sister Guinivere. It’s a stark comparison to his more violent SR card, which is also the third and final Purple SR of the set.
The remaining reveals for this week are all R foil cards. Delthea from Echoes is featured casting the powerful Ragnarok spell. Two Laguz royals from Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn also get some visually stunning cards: Dheginsea and Caineghis. Caineghis’s whopping 100 Attack is currently the highest in the game.
We’ve had another exciting week of news and reveals for the upcoming Series 9 of Fire Emblem Cipher! As usual, the @FECipher twitter account has been busy sharing new cards each weekday. Today’s revealed card is the third and final green SR and features Jill from Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn.
Also representing Tellius is an R card for Lethe. We also get two cards featuring Kilmar from the Hasha no Tsurugi manga.
The majority of the week’s reveals however belong to the newest game, Fire Emblem Echoes. Deen and Sonya, the duo of Grieth’s Pirates from Celica’s story, each get a card. Zeke also earns himself two cards, an unpromoted N card and an R as a Gold Knight.
