Heroes: New Refines and more to come in next update, and VG begins!

Today’s Heroes news brings a preview ahead of the upcoming version 4.8.0 update which will be landing during early August.

First up is the new units to receive new PRF weapons and refines:

New weapons with refine:
Sneering Axe (Legion: Masked Maniac),
Tome of Order (Cecilia: Etrurian General),
Setsuna’s Yumi (Setsuna: Absent Archer),
and a refine for:
Bright Naginata (Shiro: Raw Talent)

Next up, the compat manuals available from August’s red toilet paper (Ephemera 8):

5-Stars: Tana, Dancer Ryoma
4-Stars: Cain, Laslow, Bantu, Subaki, Roderick

With the next update will have a minor quality of life change implemented in category icons accompanying each live summoning event.

Heroes: Hel from Book III is Next Mythic Hero!

It was only a matter of time, but Hel: Death Sovereign will be the next Mythic Hero to arrive in Fire Emblem Heroes, from 30th July 2020 (UTC).

If you haven’t been keeping up with the story of Heroes, Hel is the primary antagonist of Book III; she’s the ruler of, well… Hel. Previously, her two loyal generals Lif and Thrasir became available as Mythic Heroes.

The Heroes accompanying Hel in the upcoming Mythic Hero banner are…

Red: Legendary Ike, Legendary Roy and Altina
Blue: Fjorm, Legendary Tiki and Fiora
Green: Thrasir and Legendary Edelgard
Colorless: Eir, Fallen Corrin (F) and Leila

Joe Zieja Three Houses 1st Anniversary Stream on 23rd July, 11 pm (UTC)

Calling all Fire Emblem voice actor fans! Joe Zieja–who provides the voice of the charismatic Claude von Riegan–will be hosting a special stream on 23rd July, at 11 pm (UTC) on his Twitch channel, to celebrate the upcoming one year anniversary of Three Houses.

Earlier, in the linked video, Joe shared details of what to look forward to during the anniversary celebration.

Firstly, between 25th and 26th July, there will be live signings by Joe himself, as well as Tara Platt (voice of Edelgard) and Chris Hackney (voice of Dimitri) via InstaGraph.

The prints used for the signings are of the house leaders’ timeskip designs, illustrated by @hellyonwhite. A neat touch is that the three prints can be joined together as one, similar to some Cipher artworks.

Secondly, the stream itself will kick-start Joe’s brand new playthrough of Three Houses, but this time after caving to peer pressure he’ll be teaching the Black Eagles.

Last and not least, Joe has collaborated with Family Jules to record a music video of “God Shattering Star”, the endgame track for the Golden Deer route. Fans will be able to enjoy a premiere on 23rd July, before the Black Eagles stream begins.

Cipher Merchandise via Japanese Online Store (Part 2)

A reminder for Fire Emblem Cipher or merchandise collectors: earlier in July, Intelligent Systems updated the Cipher merchandise available via their online store.

As outlined in the Series 21 pre-release livestream, the main new additions are play mats of three house leaders from Three Houses, plus many re-released card sleeves and event-exclusive merchandise.

Pre-orders for the play mats close after 26th July 2020 (Japan time), while all other items are being sold on a first-come-first-serve basis. At the time of writing, a few items have sold out, such as the card sleeves of Tharja and swimsuit Corrin from Comiket 93.

Please note that shipping is only available within Japan.
