Fire Emblem Awakening Artbook Debuts in US

If you remember preorders for The Art of Fire Emblem Awakening going up late last year, well you’re in for a treat, because after 10 long months, the artbook is finally available. Dark Horse, the publishing company behind Hyrule Historia, has finally released The Art of Fire Emblem: Awakening.

Cover

This 320 page book is filled to the brim with artwork related to character design, weapon design, storyboards, event illustrations and the game’s complete script for all possible dialogue and scenes.

This book will also be published in English, meaning that while those not proficient with Japanese may have had to pass on the Japanese version of this one, those same readers will be facing incredible temptation to pick this one up.

Cipher Series 7 Introduction & Pre-Orders

With the release of Series 6 a few weeks in the past, eager fans of Fire Emblem Cipher are already turning their sights towards the upcoming Series 7, titled “Rise to Honour”, which releases in less than two months on December 8th.

intro

Originally announced during the Spring 2016 Livestream, S7 has been of particular interest to western fans as it will feature characters from Blazing Sword, the first Fire Emblem game released in English. The other half of the set will be dedicated to Hoshidan characters from Fire Emblem Fates, as a counterpart to the Nohrian focus of S6.

The official FECipher website has not yet been updated with information regarding the new set, but we still know a decent amount of information about the set from pre-release images and other sources.

Fates: Camilla Figure at NYCC 2016

First revealed at the Summer WonFes 2016, the 1/7 scale figure of Camilla from FE Fates made a surprise appearance at New York Comic Con 2016.

You can find loads of pictures over at NYGamer and Plastikitty. The biggest thing you’ll notice (except, uh, you know what…) is that the figure is now painted and in colour. Otherwise, there are no new details since last time.

Curiously, Intelligent Systems is still advertised as the figure’s distributor, although it’s unclear if they’re the ones publishing it or if they’re simply waiting to announce a partner (such as Good Smile Company).

Either way, Camilla’s appearance at NYCC is hopefully a sign of an eventual international release. (Although figures are “region-free”, it’d be nice to save on potentially hefty import costs.)

Cipher Series 6 Set Release & Promo Information

The sixth expansion for Fire Emblem Cipher was officially released last week! Titled Storm of the Knights’ Shadows, Series 6 features characters from the first generation of Genealogy of the Holy War alongside Nohrians from Fire Emblem Fates. Now that everything is released, we can take a look at everything the set has in store for us.

intro

Booster boxes for Cipher don’t just include packs of cards, but they also come with some extra goodies as well. Boxes for S6 contain two extra gifts: a small pack of promotional sleeves and a set of promo cards. The sleeves for this set feature either the box art for Genealogy or some promotional art of Elise and Sakura from Fates.

Among the card packs, there are two preview promo cards for Series 7 as well, one of Eliwood from Blazing Sword and one of Ryoma from Fates. These two are the main characters for S7 which will be released in early December, and these cards use their existing official artworks.
