Heroes: Male Byleth reveal video, and free Orbs to celebrate Three Houses release!

The official Nintendo Mobile YouTube channel has released a new reveal trailer for Byleth: Tested Professor! You can watch it here:

Byleth’s skills were previously revealed within an in-game notification, but now they are here in video format.

Information on when male Byleth is available was also posted previously, but to recap, he will be a part of the upcoming Mythic banner which begins on the 31st of July, 7:00am UTC, as one of the three red focus Heroes. He is not a Mythic Hero; the upcoming Mythic Hero is still yet to be revealed.

Purchasers of Fire Emblem: Three Houses are able to obtain a free copy of male Byleth for their Fire Emblem Heroes account. There are detailed instructions on exactly how to do this on the official Fire Emblem Heroes website. Link is here. You have until the 29th of June, 2020, so there’s no need to rush.

If you log in to Heroes between today and the 9th of August, 6:59am UTC, you can pick up 5 Orbs for yourself in celebration of Thee Houses’ release.

It’s 26th July in the easternmost parts of the world, which means Fire Emblem Three Houses has officially been released! Of course, those of us in Europe and North America will have to wait a tiny bit longer before we can play.

As you may know, over the past couple of months, we’ve been closely keeping up with all the pre-release coverage. Today, that journey has come to an end, but the real journey begins now!

Starting from now, we’ll be working hard to gather all kinds of useful information for our Three Houses section. At the moment, the section is a little bit bare as you’d expect. But at our current pace, there should be plenty of content available before most of you finish the game!

Especially since we had a little head-start as well…

Needless to say, if you find any of the information useful, please do share with your friends! In any case, we hope you enjoy Three Houses or whatever life brings you~

Day 1 Fire Emblem Three Houses Stream (11a PST)

Hey there folks, Jedi here, (some know me as Jedisupersonic or Serenes_Jedi). I will be streaming the first several hours of the Golden Deer route on my streaming channel over on Twitch. (https://www.twitch.tv/serenes_jedi) on the 26th, much like how I did with Fire Emblem Warriors back in 2017.

As voted by the forums here on Serenes Forest, we will be playing as Male Byleth on the Golden Deer route, and as I’ve polled both here and Reddit, our Byleth’s name will be Sirius, a rather double edged reference for both old FE itself and Harry Potter.

The stream will kick off around 11 am PDT/PST. The length of the stream will likely be until my fully charged joycons run out of battery…roughly around 5 hours.

This first stream will likely be followed by loosely-scheduled ones, and I’ll decide the timing on as it goes. There might also be a brief stream at midnight earlier in that same day, so as to test things and to get through a little bit of the Blue Lions opening. If that does happen and you catch it, expect legendary LTCer (Low Turn Counts Player) and good friend of mine, General Horace to be joining me for just our first small impressions.

Additionally, I will be laying some ground rules, which are honestly just requests for common courtesy in the chat. Outside of the ordinary requests for politeness, I just have a few specific requests:

  • Please refrain from dishing out spoilers, I know some myself from all the datamining, and tons can be found on Reddit if you look hard enough, but please do not spoil stuff for the new viewers/players.
  • Please do not bring up the controversy of Chris Niosi (the voice actor for Byleth!M). I’m well aware of it, and we don’t need to waste time with something we cannot control.
  • I will be taking some suggestions from the chat, but I will be limited in what I’m able to do. Please understand that if I do not get to your request, it is not because I overlooked or ignored it.

That should cover everything! I hope to have a grand ol’ time, and look forward to having community involvement from fellow fans! Release is so soon! Three Houses: Final(?) Famitsu Preview (Recap, Early-game Guide & Interview)

Famitsu has shared a preview of their next–and biggest–Three Houses article, from their 8th & 15th August 2019 issue, which comes out on 25th July (in a couple of hours). They’ll be re-introducing the game’s key features, going over some of the early-game maps and there’s also an interview with directors Genki Yokota and Toshiyuki Kusakihara.

On top of that, the front cover for the magazine features a brand new illustration of the two protagonists (whoa, isn’t that impossible?) with all the students. Many thanks to Mapina-089 from Reddit for sharing! It’d be nice if they released a non-obscured version of it later…

Above are two tiny preview images from the article. The left one introduces the monastery occupants and the Black Eagles. I don’t think you should expect any new info from this, since it looks like it’s from the recap (they need to make up the 40 page count somehow!). Meanwhile, the right one is from the interview.

With the game arriving very soon–or in the case of some lucky or sneaky people, already arrived–we probably won’t focus on this Famitsu issue too much. I guess it’ll be nice to look at some of the maps and, of course, the interview should be interesting once it’s translated. But we’ll probably continue working on compiling the game data.
