Cipher: Series 22 out today in Japan! Our final overview, and the hereafter

Thanks for everything.

When Fire Emblem Fates was originally revealed by Nintendo in 2015 (as Fire Emblem if), it was accompanied by another announcement for the Japanese audience—a new trading card game would debut alongside Fates, Fire Emblem Cipher, featuring characters from across the series drawn by many talented artists. Now, after over five years of entertainment, Cipher is making its final bow with one more expansion update, which launches today.

It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here. Dubbed The Heroes’ Paean, fans can pick up boxes of Cipher‘s very last booster and discover all-new cards of characters from across all Fire Emblem. For anyone overseas, we can suggest vendors such as AmiAmi or Nin-Nin Game for importing whenever stock becomes available.

Fire Emblem‘s trading card game goes out with a bang of all-stars from across the series’ 30-year history.

To commemorate the launch, we’ll take a tour of all 100+ cards debuting this set, as well as reviewing other information alongside the release.

Heroes: New Mythic Hero Banner trailer reveals upcoming Mythic Plumeria, available September 30

The new banner trailer for the upcoming Mythic Hero has dropped, and the next one will be from the latest story entry…it’s Plumeria: Lewd Dream. Plumeria is a Astra-blessed, Red Infantry Flier, that bestows the Speed bonus on same-blessed allies during the appropriate season, and is a Dancer like Peony. Additionally, she brings with the next -Rein skill, Atk/Res Rein 3, not necessarily a must-have for slow mage nukes and maybe even manaketes that want to buff their own damage and don’t quite need the speed support; it’s definitely a skill worth its while.

Included in this banner will be the normal 8% summonable focus heroes (three of each color), including:

  • Blue
    • Ephraim (Legendary)
    • Lilith
    • Lucina (Legendary)
  • Colorless
    • Duma
    • Julian
    • Leif (Legendary)
  • Green
    • Celica (Legendary)
    • Micaiah (Legendary)
    • Yune
  • Red
    • Lif
    • Seliph (Legendary)

The banner will open up on 12:00 AM PT September 30 and be available until 11:59 PM PT on October 6.

Details on Plumeria’s skills can be seen below.

Heroes: Details for Version 4.10.0, Planned for 7th October (UTC)

We’re coming up to another new month, which means another Fire Emblem Heroes version update! The next update, which is planned for approximately 7th October 2020 at 7 am (UTC), will push the game to Version 4.10.0.

Resonant Battles

The big new change is one that fans have probably been requesting–the weekly limit for Resonant Battle attempts will be lifted. Soon you won’t have to stress out when a miscalculation causes the untimely demise of your Heroes or a thief to escape just out of reach.

On top of that, foes will be made slightly weaker. I always did find it strange that even the Beginner enemies could one-round my Heroes when I was lazy. Because of the update timing, the next, next season will occur between 8th and 12th October.

Weapon Refinery

There’s a lot of Jugdral love in the next weapon refinery update. Four Jugdrali Heroes will be able to enhance their current weapon skill, while an additional two Heroes have sneaked along for the ride.

  • Effie’s Lance (and refine options) – Effie: Army of One
  • Obsessive Curse (and refine options) – Rhajat: Black Magician
  • Divine Tyrfing refine options – Sigurd: Holy Knight and Seliph: Heir of Light
  • Valflame refine options – Arvis: Emperor of Flame
  • Wargod’s Tome refine options – Saias: Bishop of Flame

Combat Manuals

Starting from Version 4.10.0, events will hand out Divine Codes (Ephemera 10). These can be used to redeem the following limited time combat manuals:

  • 5-star : Halloween Niles and Halloween Jakob
  • 4-star: Hinata, Mordecai, Gunter, Tanya and Kagero
