Update: There has been a mistake. Despite Famitsu saying the DLC releases tomorrow (22nd March), it will actually come out on 29th March 2018.
Via this week’s Famitsu, we have details on the upcoming Fire Emblem Warriors Awakening DLC Pack, which finally has a release date: tomorrow.
Thanks once again to Black Kite on Twitter for most of this info.
Olivia is the star of the DLC this time, using a unique fighting style. This DLC pack is similar to the previous pack in that it features one new play style and two clones of existing movesets that didn’t have clones at first.
It can probably be assumed that Olivia will share Azura’s refresh ability. However, how exactly she fights is kind of a mystery besides this one screen here; expect something graceful though. Also, her personal skill is Galeforce, which raises the Awakening and Warrior gauge each time a strong enemy is defeated.
Tharja is next, and from what we know of her, she’s a Robin clone that I’m guessing specializes in the HP and Magic stats very heavily. She might even have good defense since Dark Mages in Awakening were pretty tanky.
Tharja has Destruction Pact as her skill. When equipped, it gradually decreases the user’s HP as time passes. In exchange, the lower the user’s HP, the higher their attack power. Read more
This Sunday, 2018’s last Fire Emblem Cipher Festival event took place in Japan. Although these events are mainly focused on the Cipher card game, sometimes other snippets of information are brought to light.
(We only have official photographs from the event.)
According to event-goers on Twitter etc., a Fire Emblem Warriors character trailer for Tharja–one of the three new Awakening DLC characters–was shown on stage. Earlier, the official Japanese Warriors Twitter teased a surprise at the event, which appears to be this.
Sadly, because photography was prohibited at the event (outside of designated zones, like the artwork exhibits), we don’t have any pictures or videos to share
. From what we can tell, the fans who saw the trailer were all very hyped–and it may even have distracted some tournament players…
(A poster on 2ch commenting about the Tharja trailer.)
Apparently, Tharja is a Robin clone, which probably isn’t a huge surprise. One of the new History Maps is based on Chapter 9 of Awakening, where she’s recruited, which again anyone could’ve guessed. Finally, during her victory movie, she poses like her official figure. Hmm, how will she pull that one off?
In celebration of the release of the latest DLC for Warriors, Fire Emblem Heroes is releasing some new Fire Emblem Warriors Special Maps! Check them out in the Special Maps screen.
There will be three different sets of maps in total. Each one features one of the new DLC characters: Navarre, Linde, or Minerva. Like the earlier Warriors maps, they’re available on three difficulties and reward an Orb on first completion. Make sure you come prepared, as each map has waves of enemy reinforcements! The boss also spawns multiple times.
First up is Navarre’s map, which is already available. Linde’s and Minerva’s maps will be along in the coming days. All maps will be available until 8 March.
Based on these maps, we can also assume that we’ll get additional maps for the Awakening DLC when it comes out later next month. Have fun beating the maps and training your heroes!
The final listed event from the most recent Fire Emblem Heroes calendar has finally arrived! You can now challenge Bound Hero Battle: Amelia & Tana in the Special Maps menu. A special banner released alongside the BHB contains 5★ versions of both Amelia and Tana, and as well as Eirika. Now’s the time to pull for these The Sacred Stones girls!
Like other BHBs, you can challenge Amelia and Tana in up to three difficulties to earn up to nine Orbs! All of your heroes must survive the map in order to succeed. Bound Hero Battle: Amelia & Tana and its associated banner will be available until 23 December at 6:59am UTC.
Additionally, to celebrate the upcoming release of the Fire Emblem Warriors DLC, the Warriors special maps have also returned to Heroes! Check out our original article for some more information on the maps. They’re a great place to earn up SP for your heroes! These maps will be available for one month, ending on 14 December.
After this, we don’t have any concrete knowledge of what’s next for Fire Emblem Heroes. Likely we’ll have a banner with some new heroes released on the 18th to replace the Children of Fate summoning focus, so hopefully we’ll get a trailer for that soon. In the meantime, Dev maps and Warriors maps should hopefully keep players entertained for a while. Train up your heroes and prepare for whatever is coming next!
