Heroes: Ursula GHB is Back & Halloween Banner Teaser

FE_Heroes_JP has the Heroes community in a frenzy once again, as they just recently posted a teaser image for their incoming Halloween Banner. The tweet promises a Login bonus, as well as the banner itself, to hit the tables on Monday, October 30.

Additionally, Ursula: Blue Crow has returned, bringing with her an Infernal map, and some new quests have come with her.

In particular, conquering Infernal Lv. 40+ Ursula: Blue Crow nets you 2,000 feathers and a 4 ★ Ursula. Beating the Hard or Lunatic maps grant you a 3 ★ or 4 ★ Ursula, respectively. If you prefer just to give the quests a go, you can:

  • Defeat Grand Hero Battle’s Ursula: Blue Crow with Sharena on your team [1 Orb]
  • Defeat Grand Hero Battle’s Ursula: Blue Crow on Lunatic or Infernal difficulties with Ursula on your team [1 Orb]
  • Use Sharena to defeat any Lv. 40+ Ursula [1 Orb]
  • Use Ursula to defeat any Lv. 40+ Ursula [3 ★ Ursula]

If you’re in a bind, you can always turn to Chapter 9-3’s Lunatic map, which contains a Lv. 40 Ursula for 20 stamina, or hataP – Static Is Scary‘s Normal map for 5 stamina, to complete the latter two quests.

SF Teams Joins Reddit to Benefit Extra Life on Nov. 4

The past couple of weeks have been busy for me, what with prepping for Serenes Forest’s involvement with an upcoming charity event, Extra Life. This year, several of our own have joined efforts to participate in Extra Life and showcase our tactical prowess.
 
 
 
If you’re not already familiar with Extra Life, it’s a 24-hour themed gaming marathon to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. It’s also a Reddit tradition dating back to 2012. Last year, Team Reddit collectively raised over $176,000. This year, it’s running just as strong, and will take place on November 4th and 5th (12 p – 12 p EST), with heavy involvement from Serenes Forest.

Together, a group of great Fire Emblem players will be playing through 12 Fire Emblem games. Notably, we’re running every English-released Fire Emblem game, as well as Japanese-only Fire Emblem Binding Blade. You’ll recognize some of the bigger names, as well as some more fresh faces in the Fire Emblem speedrunning community: Gwimpage, kirbymastah, Jedi, Deku King, Shephen, LeGrandGrand, N7_Commander_John and Nightbarrel, as well as myself, fill the roster of players showcasing the franchise
 
 
 
We’ve assembled a bunch of raffle gifts, including artwork from quite a few fan-artists, as well as collected both amiibo and merchandise signed by voice actors of the more recent FE games (Erica Lindbeck, Brianna Knickerbocker, Kyle McCarley and Ray Chase, to name a few). Donating will enter you in for a chance to win one of these goodies, and there are over a dozen items up for grabs. Donations can also be aimed at certain incentives, like which version of Fates will be played.
 
 
We’ll also be visited by Greg Chun (voice of Ephraim and Ike in Heroes, and Lukas in Echoes) during the livestream during the Shadows of Valentia run. You won’t want to miss that!

Heroes: Flier Boost Skills Summoning Focus!

The latest skill-based banner is now live in Fire Emblem Heroes! The Flier Boost Skills Summoning Focus contains 5★ focus units for Caeda, Hinoka, and Minerva.

Each of these units comes with a skill that supports other fliers in some way. Caeda has the Fortify Fliers skill, Hinoka has Hone Fliers, and Minerva has Ward Fliers. Combined, these skills are useful to create a powerful team of flying heroes!

The banner will be available until 8 November at 6:59am UTC.

Heroes: Tempest Trials: Genealogy of Light is Now Live!

The latest Tempest Trials have just begun in Fire Emblem Heroes! Tempest Trials: Genealogy of Light starts today.

Seliph witnesses some strange occurrences. Soon, Masked Marth approaches him and introduces him to some familiar faces who may be able to help with the situation…

You can access the Tempest Trials in the upper left side of the Battle screen. The opening page shows you the available Bonus Allies and your current points, as well as containing links to view available rewards. Once you’re ready, hit the Select Stage button to begin, and work your way towards a new final map…

The rewards for this event follow similar patterns to old Trials. You can unlock 4★ and 5★ versions of the new hero, Arden, at 6,000 and 30,000 points respectively. There are also three new Sacred Seals available: Brash Assault 1 at 12,000, Atk Smoke 1 at 20,000, and Guidance 1 at 40,000. All Seals can be upgraded at the new Sacred Forge.

Other rewards include Orbs, Hero Feathers, Crystals, and now Sacred Coins.

As a celebration for the event, Heroes has also begun a new Log-In Bonus! You can earn up to 13 Orbs throughout the duration of the Trials. As usual, there are also daily quests that reward you for completing Trials maps each day. Starting halfway through the event, you will be able to earn double rewards from these quests! You can see the full list below.

Tempest Trials: Genealogy of Light will last for about two weeks, ending on 6 November at 6:59am UTC. The associated quests and banner will also end at that time.
