Trivia: Actual Whale Found in Fire Emblem Fates

Those who have played Fire Emblem Heroes or have some familiarity with it (or similar mobile titles) should know what a “whale” is. Basically a big, big spender.

Amusingly, an actual whale–as in the sea mammal–can be spotted in one of the Fire Emblem games… Specifically Fire Emblem Fates.

I was tipped off by @anasofiadeandat, who commented about seeing an unidentified sea creature in their My Castle. Being the curious sort, I immediately set off to investigate. Apparently, they saw it in the Nestrian-style castle, which makes sense as it’s surrounded by water.

However this wasn’t the only sighting. Around 2 years ago, a video of this creature was posted by succboi43 on YouTube. The video is a bit blurry and shaky, but you can clearly see something big, moving purposefully, in the water.

Heroes: Children’s Day Voting Gauntlet Now Underway

The latest Voting Gauntlet event in Fire Emblem Heroes has now started. As we learned earlier, this one is focused around the many abnormally powerful children found in the series.

The starting brackets are Young Tiki versus Male Kana, Lugh versus Ylgr, Fae versus Yune and Flying Nino versus Delthea.

As usual, there are quests for each of the three rounds of the event, each awarding Battle Flags, Orbs, Sacred Coins and Refining Stones. The event runs until a few hours before the daily rollover on 6th May 2019.

Speaking of quests, the second half of the Allegiance Battles quests are now available, where you can grab the remaining 5 First Summon Tickets. Also, in case you’ve forgotten, the first pair of daily special maps are set to expire after today.

Heroes: Golden Week Celebration, Allegiance Battles & Legendary Alm

Today is the start of Golden Week in Japan, which is a very special holiday-filled week. During this relaxing time, there are many celebrations–and this extends to free mobile titles like Fire Emblem Heroes.

Starting today until the daily rollover on 10th May 2019, there will be the first of two Log-in Bonuses. Summoners will receive First Summon Tickets up to 10 times. There are two types of tickets, denoted by “I” or “II” and they’ll be handed out alternately.

A few days later, from 29th April until 12th May 2019, there will be a second Log-in Bonus, but this one features Orbs as normal. However, a total of 20 Orbs will be available by logging in through 10 days, instead of the usual 13.

Also starting now until 10th May 2019, new daily maps will be added to Special Maps, awarding 1 Orb each by completing Normal and Hard difficulties, for 10 days in a row. That means you can snag a further 20 Orbs.

As for what you can spend the First Summon Tickets and perhaps your Orbs on, two “Hero Fest” banners are now available, until 10th May 2019. These feature the first and second year winners of Choose Your Legends.

First Summon Tickets with a “I” can be used in the year one banner, while those with a “II” can be used in the year two banner. Like previous Hero Fest banners, the starting appearance rate for 5-star Focus Heroes is 5%.

Dragalia Lost: “Fire Emblem Lost Heroes” Event Now Available!

Starting today, the world of Fire Emblem Heroes is crossing over to Dragalia Lost, for a limited time event! While the event is running, players can obtain Alfonse for free and try to summon Marth, Fjorm and Veronica (all 5-star Adventurers).

Similar to the new Hero trailers for Heroes, Nintendo has uploaded a trailer outlining the abilities of the Adventurers that you can summon. You can also read about them further down this article.

Marth, Fjorm and Veronica will be available from the “Lost Heroes” summon showcase until the event ends after the daily rollover on 14th May 2019. After that, they will be removed from the summoning pool until further notice.

To give players a helping hand, there’s also a “Platinum Showcase” available by swapping tabs. This is a special type of summon showcase where you can spend 1200 Diamantium (premium currency) to perform a tenfold summon (ten summons in a row) with the tenth summon guaranteed to be Marth, Fjorm or Veroinica.

Players can only perform a specific Platinum Showcase once and be aware that there’s no guarantee that you won’t get a duplicate Adventurer if you already have at least one of the three.
