Cipher S21 Weekly Recap: New cards including Hapi and Lilina, Constance magazine promo, and livestream reminder!

Welcome to a new installment of our weekly recap series of Series 21 of Fire Emblem Cipher, the Japanese trading card game. Launching as a new booster dubbed Tempest of Apocalyptic Flame, this set features characters from Three HousesThe Binding BladeThe Blazing Blade, and Heroes.

In the weeks leading up to its June 25th release, the official Twitter account, @FEcipher, is revealing the latest cards each weekday, and we’ll be looking over them together as an overview of what’s to come!

The first day introduced cards of Florina from The Blazing Blade. From an apprentice pegasus knight who grows through her travels with Lyn to an experienced flier equal to her sisters Fiora and Farina, Florina is captured through Cipher once more as a Rare card by the artist Tobi.

Heroes: Summer 2020 banner, Resonant Battles, and Free 5-Star Hero Summon!

Today’s Heroes update brings us a few nice things some of us have been looking forward to.

First off, the  new Special Banner, “Summer Passing” is now available to summon from.

Summer versions of Sacred Stones’ Lute, Selena, and Joshua as well as Harmonised Mia and Masked Marth are featured. Lute is also available in the 4-Star pool with a higher rate to be summoned! You can read more into the banner in our previous news post here.

Next up, we have the new mode Resonance Battles going live from today!

This new game mode is available under the Arena menu. Chase down the Thieves (which are thankfully limited to 1 move) before they exit the top of the map and earn rewards based on your final rank. Note that you must deploy a Harmonised Hero from at least one of the two Season’s Bonuses running (e.g. this week is Heroes and Radiant Dawn) to earn bonus points for a higher score. You can run a team without a Harmonised Hero but you won’t score so high.

Also today: Pick up your free 5-Star Special Summer Hero summon! Everybody from the previous three years is available, and you can summon one of them for free! You have nothing to lose.

The free summon is available from today until the 2nd of July 6:59am UTC, so plenty of time.

Heroes: “Summer Two-Piece” Tempest Trials Coming Soon & Mythic Arena Bug Addressed!

Following the surprise Feh Channel and the first Summer Heroes trailer, FE Heroes has shared more detailed about the next Tempest Trials+ event.

“Summer Two-Piece” will be active between the daily rollovers on 19th and 29th June 2020 (UTC). The top prizes include copies of Rhys: Gentle Basker (pictured), the Sorcery Blade 1 and Brazen Spd/Res 1 Sacred Seals, plus 50 lots of Divine Code (Ephemera 6).

The Heroes that can boost your score (and obtain more EXP/SP) are the new Summer versions of Mia (and Masked Marth), Selena, Lute, Joshua and Rhys, plus the regular versions of Mia, Lute and (for absolutely no reason, nuh-uh) Lucina.

The first row of Heroes can be summoned via the “Summer Passing” banner, which arrives on 18th June. Rhys is obviously the freebie, while the remaining three are featured on a Tempest Trials banner, which is around for the same period as the event.

Also, the “Mythic Bug”, relating to Arena and Arena Assault scoring has finally been fixed. Previously, if a team included an in-season Legendary Hero, but an off-season Mythic Hero, players could encounter teams with higher scores than intended, but still obtain a lower score after winning (via Twitter).

Heroes: Feh Channel June 2020 Swoops in With Summer News!

The day is full of surprises–first we had the Summer trailer revealed too early, then Feh suddenly decided to drop another unannounced Feh Channel!

This one is short, but sweet, focusing on three topics: the upcoming Summer Heroes, the new Resonant Battles game mode and a new feature for Aether Raids.

Summer Heroes

There’s already a trailer for them, but here’s another look at the Special Heroes that will feature in the “Summer Passing” banner, scheduled for 18th June.

Mia and Marth form a new type of Duo Hero, called a “Harmonized Hero”. These are Heroes that co-operate from completely different worlds. They also have a Harmonized Skill that benefits Heroes from the games they’re from. Read more
