Heroes: Special Heroes (Unlikely Friends) brings a Tiny Tellius team to the fray on April 7

It’s high time for our next low-in-age units to join the brigade, and this time, we’re graced with a slew of Tellius inspired units, all of which have connections to each other via the Greil Mercenaries. This, and just a bit more, come in the Unlikely Friends Special Heroes banner!

This banner features a few interesting inheritable skills, including the next Distant Counter but with a stat boost skill, Distant Dart (boosting Speed). There is also the new -Tempo skill line, which is similar to Special Fighter 3, that protects a unit from Special Cooldown altering abilities, and also grants a stat advantage. The Spd/Def Tempo 3 appears on an Infantry unit this time around, so I wonder what unit movement types will be allowed to use this skill. Speaking of skills, we have another rare Colorless Tome with Soren.

Additionally, Boyd: Future Great, makes his debut in Heroes, and much to no one’s surprise, is a green axe infantry. He is a free unit, earnable in the upcoming Tempest Trials+ event as reward unit.

Finally, Ilyana: Awakened Appetite, will be available in the 4* Focus pool.

Special Heroes (Unlikely Friends) will run from April 7 until May 6.

Heroes: Revival Banner #5 Up and Next Summer Banner Revealed, Drops July 9

The second summer surprise trailer dropped on us, just an hour before the end of the Headbands [Guys] vs Headbands [Gals] voting gauntlet ended. Mia won, and while that may not be have surprised some people, the people in the upcoming Summer Refreshes banner may surprise many.

Japanese trailer available here.

Yes, the second Summer Banner features units from Elibe, but they don’t all seem to be who fans expected them to be. Among the batch, includes Fire Emblem Binding Blade’s Wolt and Lilina, and Fire Emblem Blazing Sword’s Lyn and Ursula. We already have a Grand Hero Ursula available, so an alt of her is quite a surprise, while Wolt joins the likes of Charlotte and Noire in the Alt-sclusives Only pool.

Among the new skills featured in the upcoming banner, we have a handful of new inheritables, such as the inevitable Sabotage Def 3 (Lilina), as well as the upgrade Brazen Atk/Spd 4 (Wolt), and the brand new line of skills with the Ruse name, Def/Res Ruse 3 (Ursula). Among the already available skills, Arena lovers will enjoy another unit carrying the Rally Up Res+ skill (Lilina) , as well as Sturdy Impact making its return on a unit other than Tibarn (Lyn).

One interesting post is that in both the Japanese and English trailers, Wolt’s bow lists 14 Mt and 1 Rng, which is atypical of inheritable bows, nonetheless bows in general (The only inheritable bow with more than 12 Mt is the Silver Bow, running 13 Mt). No update on it has been announced yet, but I have a feeling that a correction will come with the banner’s official drop.

UPDATE: Wolt’s Big-Catch Bow+ is confirmed to only have 12 Mt and is a Range 2 weapon, as expected.

To add more excitement, the next upcoming free unit, as a Tempest Trials+ reward unit, is Fire Emblem Blazing Sword’s very own Fiora, Defrosted Ilian, a Red Sword Flier.

This banner will run from July 9 until August 9. If you’re excited for this batch of units, keep your excitement going, as we’re also due to receive a Three Houses themed banner soon, with the release of the game. Orb management might be hard, but I believe in you, Summoners!

Finally, the fifthRevival Banner is up, featuring Mist: Helpful Sister, Ike: Young Mercenary and Ike: Brave Mercenary . Remember, that these Revival banners have a 4% focus rate on the featured heroes for a 5* summon.

Heroes: Titania & Mist’s Bound Hero Battle + Summoning Focus

Today’s a pretty busy day for Fire Emblem news! Anyway, we’ll start with something fairly small. Fire Emblem Heroes is currently running a new Bound Hero Battle, featuring Titania and Mist from Path of Radiance.

Altogether, you can earn 9 Orbs by completing the map on all 3 difficulties. It’s not a lot, but it’s not a little either. The Bound Hero Battle will be around until the daily rollover on 5th May 2019.

Joining this Bound Hero Battle is a themed summoning focus that has Titania, Mist and Ike as 5-star Focus units. After Ike and Mist were removed from new summoning banners, this is probably your best chance to snag them. The focus runs for the same duration.

Heroes: Tellius Heroes Star in Greil’s Devoted

The teaser probably took most of us by surprise, with that Tyrfing-looking sword in the silhouette, but what shook me was not just the twist of what it actually was, but who the rest of the gang turned out to be.

Enter the next Special Heroes banner, Greil’s Devoted. Ike’s father, Greil, appears to take the stage, along with Ike himself, Mist, and Soren, in this new banner, and there are a few twists in not only the units that we’re receiving, but their skills and movement types. We are receiving a handful of awaited skills, and also, Fury 4. This is sure to shake up the metagame some more. Even if the unit stat spreads are not appealing (and it’s hard to imagine that they won’t be), the weapons looks pretty good on paper, sporting a universal +3 to all stats bond ability, that is sure to pair nicely with Sacred Seals and other bond skills owned by your squad.

Not only that, but Titania: Warm Knight (a Red Tome Cavalry), will be joining the fray, as a Tempest Trials+ reward unit. Her tome doesn’t look like a X-Blooms variant, so I wonder if it follows the Spectrum-Bond theme of the other four unit’s weaponry.

Greil’s Devoted kicks off on February 8 at 11p PT (my birthday, coincidentially), and wraps up on March 8, so Summoners, there’s plenty of time to give this your all, should you desire one of the quartet!
