Heroes: “Ice & Flame” Tempest Trials Series Follows On From Book II

The current Tempest Trials event that started in Fire Emblem Heroes today is slightly different to the norm. “Ice & Flame 1” continues from where Book II left off, with Fjorm encountering Nifl, the God of Ice.

For those who haven’t played Book II or need a recap, the FE Heroes team has created a special video just for you!

As its name suggests, “Ice & Flame 1” is the first of a multi-part series; it will be continued in “Ice & Flame 2”, available after the 5.8.0 update, which should arrive some time in August.

Because the story is important, the cutscenes from the “Ice & Flame” series will be added to the Event Recap once each respective Tempest Trials is over, regardless of whether players saw them or not.

Please continue for some screenshots from “Ice & Flame 1”, including our first look at Nifl!

Heroes: Reginn and Fafnir Dance Off “In the Club”

Note: We borrowed a time machine to add this article from the future.

Today is April Fool’s Day (in some countries), yet we have no words for this…

If you managed to retain your sanity by the end, what you just witnessed was Reginn and Fafnir dancing to the tune of the Book V trailer/map theme. I’m not sure what the FE Heroes team were smoking when they made this, but I kind of want it.

Heroes: Music Compilation Video Featuring 43 Tracks!

Over the years, the Fire Emblem series has produced some amazing music–and it seems Nintendo is quite proud of this, because they’ve uploaded a music compilation on YouTube highlighting some of the greats.

The video features 43 tracks that appear in Fire Emblem Heroes, for a run time of 105 minutes. There’s a song from every mainline game, although Shadow Dragon (NES and DS versions) and Gaiden have been assimilated into their sequels/remakes.

Sorry for the Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE or Fire Emblem Warriors fans.

There are also timestamps in the description for each individual track, if you’re looking for something specific. Of note, this appears to be the first time we’ve seen official names for some of these songs. Such as “Howling Gears” for the Book V map theme.

Fire Emblem: Fates Videos and More

No doubt most of you in North America are likely already busy playing Fates yourselves, but if you’re not located in North America, can’t afford to buy the game yet, or simply just enjoy watching the game, this bit of news is for you. We were recently approached by AbdallahSmash026, a popular YouTuber, about his coverage of Fates. As a result, we now have a section of the site dedicated to videos relating to Fire Emblem games. This can be found under the shiny new Videos link on the left. Abdallah has footage of all the routes in Fire Emblem: Fates and has been uploading that footage since release, but not every chapter is up yet; however, the playlists we’ve embedded are actively being updated as these uploads happen.

If you are also interested in having your gameplay footage embedded on the site, we ask that you please wait a little while. This new section is experimental and the details for how it is going to work exactly are still being worked out. In the meantime, you can check out Abdallah’s Fates footage here.
