Fire Emblem Hundred Song of Heroes Card Images

Thanks to Maeryn Sen, you can now appreciate the exclusive artwork from the Fire Emblem Hundred Song of Heroes card set without spending a dime (or getting hit by crazy import charges…).

To begin your artwork appreciating adventure, please head over to our image gallery or grab them straight from the source. (Note: I’ve kindly been granted permission to re-upload the images.)

Some things I should mention:

  1. Not all the artwork is exclusive (sorry, I lied); a few characters use their Awakening DLC artwork.
  2. Some of the artwork might not be to everyone’s tastes. You have been warned!
  3. If you want your own card set, you can still order it from Otomart or Gee!Store. But if you’re ordering from outside of Japan, you may need a middleman service.

Cipher: Introduction to Original Characters Emma and Shade

The official Fire Emblem Cipher site has added a new special column, “Emma and Shade at the Cipher Forefront“.

Originally teased way back in the first Fire Emblem Cipher livestream event, Emma and Shade are brand new characters designed specifically for the Cipher card game.

In this column, the two gals whimsically talk about topics pertaining to the card game–this time introducing the first series “Warblade of Heroes” and the upcoming second series “Soulful Flames of Light and Dark”.

For those who can’t read Japanese, pasu has kindly provided a translation of their discussion over here.

Of particular note, Emma and Shade’s cards will debut in the second series; their cards will be available from standard booster packs, mixed in with the characters of Fire Emblem Fates.

Vestaria Saga: First Trailer

As promised in his previous blog post, Kaga has unveiled the first trailer for his new free indie game, Vestaria Saga: The Seven Sacred Rings, developed using the SRPG Studio software.

This “trailer” is actually a 30 minute-long video that showcases the game’s progress and features, and spans the first three chapters of the game (not in their entirety though).

According to Kaga, the project is currently 10% complete, although he’s still uncertain if it will reach completion. But from the look of things, he and his team of 15 volunteers are trying their best.

The video begins with the Prologue, where in typical Fire Emblem fashion, the protagonist, Zeid, is ordered by his brother, Zechs, to flee the nation before an impending invasion from an overpowering empire.

Fates DLC Week 3: A Royal Ruckus

This week sees the release of the third batch of Fire Emblem Fates DLC.

Only one new map has been added, Battle for the Strongest Royal, where the player picks one of the eight royal siblings and battles against the remaining seven (and all their retainers) for the claim of “the strongest royal”.

So basically very similar to Paradise Scramble, except at the end, you’re rewarded with a Dread Scroll if you sided with a Hoshidan royal or a Dark Falcon Wing if you sided with a Nohrian royal.

Unlike in Awakening, these class-change items can be used regardless of the character’s gender, so enjoy your female Dread Fighters and male Dark Falcons!

Anyway, be sure to check the forums if you’re curious for more details.
