Heroes: “Mothers and Sons” Voting Gauntlet has begun!

The next Voting Gauntlet has begun, so get behind your favourite mother or son, and score as much as you can to help see them through to victory.

Up for grabs are a decent number of Feathers after every round. The better your score each round, the more Feathers you get, with a bonus if your army wins the round. The bracket looks like this:

As you can see, right off the bat it’s the mothers being pitted against their own sons. It’s completely possible to have all mothers or all sons knocked out by round 2 (as Muspell was vs Nifl during that Voting Gauntlet).

This Voting Gauntlet will end on the 6th of February, 3:59AM UTC.

Also today: New GrandMaster difficulty release of Tactics Drills, titled “On the Run.” Complete the challenge to earn 300 Feathers!

Heroes: Mythic Hero Summoning Event+ Mythic Hero Battle arrive!

Today, we have the arrival of the second Mythic HeroDuma: God of Strength. He’s available as part of the Mythic Hero Summoning Event, which are essentially the same thing as previous monthly Legendary Banners, except new Mythic Heroes give benefits and bonuses within only the Aether Raids mode, and can receive buffs in Arena as though they have been given a Blessing.

The banner begins today, and will end on the 6th of February, 6:59AM UTC. The banner and its contents have already been covered in more detail in our previous news update here.

Along with every new Legendary Banner comes a new Legendary Hero Battle. The same goes for Mythic Banners, bringing with them Mythic Hero Battles.

The rewards for this MHB are as follows: 1 x Anima Blessing (Normal), 2, 3, and 4 Orbs (Hard, Lunatic, Infernal), and a Golden Princess’s Diadem EX accessory (Abyssal). The MHB begins today, and also ends along with the banner, on he 6th of February, 6:59AM UTC.

Sounds of Fire Emblem from Cipher Festival – Galeforce CD

The legendary “Cavalier Duo” strikes again! Fire Emblem composers Hiroki Morishita and Takeru Kanazaki have once again put together a stellar album based on their Cipher Festival performances. This Galeforce CD contains a selection of songs from throughout the Fire Emblem series performed by the duo.

Unfortunately for international fans, the Galeforce CD was only available at Comiket 95 this past December. However, I was able to get my hands on a copy thanks to a friend in Japan. Scroll on down below for some more photos and information. You can also to listen to the tracks for yourself!

The Cavalier Duo

The Cavalier Duo is made up of two composers, Hiroki Morishita as the Red Cavalier, and Takeru Kanazaki as the Green. Both have been working as part of the Fire Emblem music team for a number of years.

The pair worked together on the music for Fates. Additionally, Morishita worked on Awakening and Heroes, while Kanazaki was involved with the music for Echoes.

Heroes: CYL3 Wraps Up & Mythic Hero 2 Appears

It’s been on the board for a while, but our week of fun has concluded, as the Choose Your Legends 3 event has come to a close. Votes will be tallied up and released by IS (and visible on their Twitter feed soon enough), but for now, we have a new Hero to worry about…a new Mythic Hero.

Valentia’s mad Rigelian god Duma graces our stage, and brings with him a heavy showcase of power to boot. Duma: God of Strength joins in the second Mythic Heroes banner as a colorless dragon armor, making him the first of his kind, and brings with him the attack boosting Anima blessing.

What’s more, is that he comes with the expected batch of 11 comrades (three in each color, in total), all available in an 8% focus-only session, including:

  • Blue
    • Kliff
    • Ryoma (Performing Arts)
    • Tiki (Legendary)
  • Colorless
    • Loki
    • Linde (Summer)
  • Green
    • Elincia (Performing Arts)
    • Ephraim (Brave)
    • Lyn (Legendary)
  • Red
    • Eirika (Legendary)
    • Ike (Legendary)
    • Laegjarn

The Mythic Heroes banner kicks off on January 29 at 11p PT, and runs until February 5, so if you’re interested in collecting this powerhouse, or those in his bundle, now’s a great time to mentally prepare yourself.
