Fire Emblem Heroes Sibling Bonds Now Live

Moments ago, Fire Emblem Heroes greeted us with a data update containing several new units, a new Paralogue and a new Focus, which can be seen as Sibling Bonds. This new Banner and Focus group gives us a single new Focus with six units (the most in a Focus thus far). There is only one Focus this time, but it’s the largest Focus released to date.

This new Banner bring us three new maps and six new characters, including Eldigan, Olwen, Reinhardt and Lachesis (from Fire Emblem Thracia 776),  Klein (Fire Emblem Binding Blade), Sanaki (Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn). Sanaki marks the first appearance of a character from any of the console Fire Emblem games released internationally, which is a surprise given the anticipation of Ike, who heralds from two popular internationally released games.

Additionally, Launch Celebration Part 4 exists, which is a two part map granting orbs as a prize. Lastly, a new banner appears to have been leaked…

Cipher S8 Weekly Recap: Echoes Promos, Twitter Reveals, & Cipher Sai Photos!

The previous week has been very generous with card reveals for the upcoming Series 8 of Fire Emblem Cipher. Some of the most exciting reveals were posted earlier this week by @FireEmblemJP, giving us our first look at Cipher cards for Alm and Celica from the upcoming Fire Emblem Echoes.

These two promo cards will be included in some Echoes releases in Japan. The Celica card is exclusive to the Valentia Complete edition of the game, while Alm’s card will be included in all special editions, and also some first-run prints of the regular physical release.

Interestingly, the cards also include shots of some other Echoes characters. The characters on Alm’s card are Gray, Tobin, Kliff, and the new character Effy. Celica’s card features Genny, Mae, and Boey.

@FECipher also released a large number of cards this week. On the Awakening side, we get an abundance of double reveals. Two cards each are revealed for Aversa and Noire, an unpromoted and promoted card for both.

Aversa’s unpromoted card shows her as a Pegasus Knight, presumably before the events of the game take place, and her promoted card is surprisingly an SR. This makes her the 4th confirmed Awakening SR card after Risen King Chrom, Exalt Chrom, and Frederick.

The last Awakening reveal is a very interesting use of alternate art cards…

Fire Emblem Heroes Adding Inheritance

An unexpected tweet by NintendoOfAmerica minutes ago shared an upcoming surprise for March:

We can look forward to a new feature called Inherit Skill, which implies that units can pass skills down to other units. With no information on how it will work in the game thus far, it will be very interesting to see how the game changes up!

That said, we do have some clues from the v1.01 text dump provided by SciresM. Namely there will be certain restrictions; some skills cannot be inherited due to a clashing weapon type, clashing movement type or simply because they’re exclusive skills.

Additionally, the official FE_Heroes_JP twitter account tweeted the same message, but with an extra tidbit: The hero who’s passing down the skill will be sacrificed (rather, they will return to the world whence they came).

Fire Emblem Heroes Unleashes Female Robin!

Fire Emblem Heroes has officially released the female counterpart of Robin from Fire Emblem Heroes!

Robin will come with two maps, running on Normal at level 25 and Hard on level 35, unlocking a 2* and 3* version of her.

Her specialty weapon is Gronnwolf, a green tome that deals effective damage against Cavalry units, as well as possessing some neat skills for her niche. If you’re in the middle of your game, you may need to exit the game and re-enter it to initiate the download process.

In addition, a new Focus, Battling Robin has emerged, running alongside last week’s Family Bond. This focus features Fir, Tiki (Awakening), Hawkeye and Maria, netting us no new blue units but the possibility of some pretty powerful units. These of course, are available at a 3% initial appearance rate within their Focus.

Eirika, Ephraim, Julia and Seliph are not available in this focus, but still exist in their Family Bond focus. Both run until February 27.

Good luck recruiting your new Green Mage, Robin!
