Heroes: Desert Mercenaries Banner, Story Chapter, & Forging Bonds!

New heroes from The Sacred Stones have just arrived in Fire Emblem Heroes! Summon from the Desert Mercenaries banner for your chance at Ewan, Tethys, Gerik, and the new Ephraim & Lyon Duo Unit! Ross has also entered the game as a new 3/4★ unit! Check out our earlier article for their preview trailer and a text breakdown.

You can also see these new heroes in action in the latest story chapter, Marvelous Dream. Complete all five sections and their associated quests to earn up to 20 Orbs!

Furthermore, these new heroes appear in the latest edition of Forging Bonds! The introduction of the story also serves to explain how Ephraim and Lyon ended up getting associated with the rest of Gerik’s Mercenaries. Play every day to earn Orbs and other prizes and continue the story!

The Desert Mercenaries banner will last most of the rest of the month, ending on 28 November. Forging Bonds will end a week earlier on the 21st.

Lastly, Ephraim: Dynastic Duo is something of a special case this banner. Unlike the other heroes, he will not continue to be available in the regular summoning pool after this summoning event. We don’t know when he’ll be available next, so if you want to snag him, now’s your best chance!

Heroes: New Echoes banner, Forging Bonds, and new Main Story chapter!

Today’s Fire Emblem Heroes update brings us a new banner, a new Forging Bonds, and a new Main Story chapter to play through!

The banner is “Zofia’s Call” and features some new Heroes from Shadows of Valentia. Catria: Mild Middle Sister, Forsyth: Loyal Lieutenant, Python: Apathetic Archer, and Silque: Adherent of Mila are all focus Heroes on this banner.

Also making their debut in Heroes as a 3-4-Star Hero is Valbar: Open and Honest. He comes with Brave Lance+, Vengeance, HP/Atk 2 (at 4-Stars) and Obstruct (at 5-Stars). While it’s not such a coveted skill, HP/Atk 2 was rare; only previously available on Valentines Lilina and Bridal Fjorm, so it’s nothing but a good thing to have it so commonly available now. Also, Obstruct exists, I suppose.

Also today: Forging Bonds is back with the four new banner Heroes as the main focus.

PIck up some new accessories, Orbs, a load of Feathers, and other materials as you raise your bondage levels with these four units.

Last but not least for today: New Story Chapter: Book III, Chapter 12: Lethal Swordsman. The Askr Trio have survived Lif’s trap laid within the Other Askr castle thanks to Alfonse knowing everything that Lif is going to do, and the group are now in pursuit of a fleeing Lif. What will come of the situation once they finally do catch up? You can play through all difficulties for a total of 15 Orbs, and you can earn an extra 5 Orbs by completing the limited-time Lunatic quests, until the 5th of November 6:59am UTC.

Heroes: New banner, new Main Story chapter, and Forging Bonds now available!

Today’s update includes a new banner featuring characters from Mystery of the Emblem and New Mystery of the Emblem.

Nagi: Dragon Avatar, Sirius: Definitely Not Camus, Phina: Roving Dancer, and Norne: The Demotee, are now available to summon with this new banner! It begins today and will finish on the 9th of October, 6:59am UTC.

Also today: A new main story chapter titled “Where it Began,” a new Skill Studies Tactics Drills titled “Young Lion & Radiant Hero,” and a new Forging Bonds event featuring the four new Heroes.

The rewards are your typical FB rewards: 16.4k Feathers, 40 Grails,14 Orbs, and 4 Summoning Tickets are the highlights, along with some new accessories to kit out your Heroes. The event will come to a close on the 3rd of October, 6:59am UTC.

Bantu: Tiki’s Guardian (a red infantry dragon) is also being placed straight into the 3-4-Star summoning pool from this new banner onward.

His 5-Star neutral stats are as follows: HP 45, Atk 34, Spd 28, Def 35, Res 26, with a superboon in Res and superbane in Spd.

Heroes: The Chosen Ones Banner, Brings 4 + 1 New Heroes, and Next GHB Announced

If my headliner doesn’t make sense, don’t worry; I didn’t get it at first either. What’s to sum up is that this New Heroes: The Chosen Ones banner is bringing more than a handful of units and obligatory Paralogue chapter. It’s bringing more, in a possible new trend that’s sure to appease Summoners across the globe.

I can’t say much about Sirius and Norne, other than the fact that it appears as though their skillsets promote a charge-ahead style and defensive style of play, respectively. Phina’s Rapier is an incredible offensive and defensive weapon, making her a very appealing Dancer unit. Nagi, however, is the game’s first 1-range “Raven”-weapon user, and her Ethereal Breath weapon has an almost hilarious amount of useful abilities built into it, from a Killer cooldown boost, to its Raven ability, to being effective against dragons, to another first of its kind, reduction of AoE special attack damage.

Arguably, the most interesting thing about this banner is that Bantu: Tiki’s Guardian (a Red Manakete with Dragon Fang) will join the roster as a non-focus 3/4 star Hero, making this the first time a new Hero can be summoned immediately that isn’t a 5 star Hero. Perhaps this trend will continue?

Finally, the next Grand Hero Battle was announced, and that kicks off on September 23. It will feature Astram: Midia’s Hero, who is likely to be a Red Sword Infantry. The Chosen Ones banner will kick off starting September 19 at 12a PT, and all Heroes will continue to be available for future summoning events.
